Client-centered Curriculum
Our 474-Hour curriculum honors the tradition of classical Pilates movements while equipping students with the tools to adapt the Pilates method to any and all clients. Polestar Teacher Training empowers critical thinking through concepts rather than repertoire. Our delivery is a hybrid of online lectures and in-person modules that give support throughout the entirety of the training. Our program will equip you to:
Teach Pilates movements on all the Pilates apparatus (Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Ladder Barrel and Spine Corrector)
Understand precautions, contraindications and modifications for injury and special populations
Utilize tactile cueing to provide hands-on guidance
Employ neuro-linguistic techniques and imagery to give meaningful cues
Build confidence through observation and practice teaching
Assess and develop thoughtful programs for any client
Prepare meaningful sequences based on Polestars sequencing design protocol
The hybrid course consists of online learning modules followed by in-person labs and virtual discussions that allow you to evaluate the practical applications of Pilates exercises, develop assessment techniques, understand movement sequences, and modify exercises and programs for individuals. Completion of the Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Program qualifies you to sit for the National Pilates Certification Program exam.

$500
Oov Fundamentals is a 2-Day course and is the prerequisite for all other Oov Education coursework
$250
Oov Pilates Apparatus is a 1-Day course (TBA)
Strength, speed, power and agility are more effectively achieved if motor control, stability and endurance can be maintained, which are the basis of all exercises with the Oov. The Oov gives the practitioner the ability to assess movement at an unprecedented level. Students will learn the nuances of adding or removing load and resistance to increase mobility or fine motor control throughout the spine, joints and abdominal wall to achieve stability and endurance. This course will explore how using the Oov can help improve functional movement. The exercises presented will focus on eccentric activation to provide greater strength and control through low threshold, slow movement training. The Four Pillars of Movement will be examined during exercises to develop skills to teaching efficient performance of functional movement. Postural types and their relationship to these specific exercises will be addressed. This course will develop skills to identifying movement deficiencies, such as axial control, gait pattern dysfunction, 3D sling deficiencies and compromised articular function. Detailed and specific exercises that address the correction of these deficiencies will be covered. Students will also learn the structure and queuing techniques to facilitate a group Oov class.

KONNECTOR TRAINING
TBA
Konnector enables full-body workouts by connecting arms and legs through a single rope system that keep you coming more!
Created by Viktor Uygan of Konnector takes Pilates to a dynamic new level with independent and simultaneous movement of arms and legs. The single rope system engages your entire body (lift your legs, and you’ll feel it in your arms!), providing constant proprioceptive feedback and facilitating stronger core activation. A simple locking mechanism returns Reformer to standard Pilates functionality.
Turn your existing Balanced Body reformer into a versatile exercise apparatus without losing traditional Pilates functionality or repertoire
